We do have cliffs in Dover though.
Last time I dropped something off the cliffs, it was a large chunk of chalk. I was only about 13 and watched in bemusement, then horror as it almost hit a car in the docks below :S
EDIT: "300ft of falling glory, a nano second of terror as the car screeched to a halt. The 3 kilo chunk of chalk exploded in a massive plume of white dust merely inches from its bonnet"
