# erm,
not too sure what you're asking but try selecting the text
with the magic wand and then from the selection menu
pick smooth selection

then invert the selection ctrl-alt-I and then ctrl X it

the top one is my text... the bottom one is the source image... see how the corners of the t are curved out... i've already got the outer glow sorted

*edit* i fink i got it.... you were right... select all of the image... then modify the selection by smoothing it... cvheers

you could rasterise the text, ctrl-select the layer to get the outline, use Select-Modify-Smooth to round off the edges, invert, delete.
