# The cure are a bit happy on occassion to be Goth, granted
but Faith and Pornography are pretty bleak. I suppose it depends on your definition.

# Indeedily it does.
I'm a shit goth anyway, I've been cheerygoth for years.

# Cure Eras
Three Imaginary Boys, Boys Don't Cry = semi punk
Seventeen Seconds, Faith, Pornography = goth
Japanese Whispers -> Now = Rock / Pop
Disintergration = Perfection

# Goth is Alien Sex Fiend
The Cure were just glum

In fact I seem to remember the actual phrase that they accepted themselves as a part of was "raincoat"

But simplest to just stick with Post Punk.

# I've just tried to pop them in a box mentally
And failed miserably.

I don't even know what genre MY band are, let alone anyone elses.

# Interesting
I'd class ASF as more punk/goth

Heck the most widely known goth band is probably Sisters of Mercy, and Andrew Eldrith doesn't want to be associated with goth :)
