it sometimes helps to auto-colour the background. beyond that, i'm a bit stuck i'm afraid. i can't do it consistently so there may be a nack.

unfortunately fannying around is the only way i can do iti've not got a copy of PS here to remind me what to do. autolovels works well to start with, it removes filters and the like (sort of), a fainl photofilter can really help as well.
