whilst that may be / may have been true for other consoles, it's not for the gamecube. they aren't making a loss on it.

Edit: Ok, it's spelled differently - but even so; look at the bottom of that page, it says xboxes got sold at discount before christmas... I didn't see any, and I was looking for a new doorstop too!
