
You have some serious free jazz there... don't overdose! I'm not a huge jazz fan, but you can't knock Mingus, Coleman, Taylor and Dolphy. I have a gorgeous CD box set of the complete Atlantic recordings of Ornette Coleman - fantastic, if heavy going in places.
Tom Waits is awesome, but he has gone from these slightly twisted ballads in the early 70's to some quite ear-crunching stuff these days. Check out some stuff from the albums Frank's Wild Years, Bone Machine, Blue Valentine, The Black Rider Swordfishtrombones and Rain Dogs(for a fair historical survey!
From the stuff you're talking about, I think you might like some of the more oddball stuff - Black Rider, Bone Machine, Mule Variations, maybe Swordfishtrombones.
