And no doubt Xerox did their usual thingand ignored it completely. Like they did when they invented desktop computing.

Absolutelythe whole project got shelved as soon as it started looking really interesting and the people involved left.
The only reason they seemed interested in it was because it involved real paper rather than all the funky things it let you do.
