Even XBox couldn't bring itself to carry an HD DVD drive in the elite model

Yay for Blu-Ray, watched Casino Royale on it the other night and was utterly gobsmacked.

Sony fails at proprietary media formats. I'll even add MiniDisc to the list of failures. And as for the XBox (I own neither, PC gaming ftw) at least M$ gave their consumers a choice to upgrade to HD-DVD instead of forcing it down their throats. Whether this turns and bites them in their rear at a later date is to be seen.
