There was a conceptfor a replacement in around 2001 but nothing has yet come of that.
The Camper was replaced by the T3 transporter/caravelle and any VW van on the streets now with the name 'transorter' is the modern successor to the old camper/Kombi van.
You can get the old ones reconditioned but they cost a lot.
