# There's no 'L' sound in Japanese
and when thy spell out english words phonetically in Japanese characters they use the same character for 'R' as they do for 'L', leading to the confusion.

if she was asked about saying R...more or less. I'm not exactly a speaker who's never spoken to a native Japanese person. Apparently I make more sense than most when I speak Japanese. Must say something.
