# you could try
www.personalprint.com (uk based)
I've got 2 different t-shirts from then (one vector based graphic & one from P/shop) and they were really good.

# gah!
closed for the holiday period :(

what sort of way do they print it? is it like on solid chunk of print stuff with the design printed on top of that or separate blocks of bold colour printed separately?

# the one that I've got
is just a text slogan, which is printed in that rubbery stuff that professionally bought t-shirts use, rather than the cafepress system which is just like an iron-on transfer, really

# Really?
Shit.... I was gonna use them too... please forgive meeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee...

# use who?
cafepress?

don't get me wrong - the stuff is a pretty good quality, but it's likely to fade if you wash it too many times :(

# Oh, okay
Well, I was gonna use it for my band, stuff to give away @ gigs and for fans to buy if they liked... Hmmmmm...

# so its like
a single smooth surface with the design almost 'painted' on top of that rather than the thick paint you get on alot of hooded tops and sweats etc?

edit: its the thick paint stuff effect that im ater but im not quite sure what the call it or that process

# depends on the type of file i think
one i had looked like it was screen printed (only two colour), the other was done another way. You can ask to speak to someone there if you're worried about it, I spoke to someone so i could send an illustrator file rather than a gif or whatever and they were lovely to me.

gotta go out now - if you reply to this i wont reply back! Just thought i should let you know :)

# that's
just asking for abuse, isn't it
(, Sat 25 Jan 2003, 17:28, archived)
# no

# I thought of that too
but they're "closed for the holiday season"

I wonder if they forgot to turn their website back on, and are sat around wonderng why nobody's ordered anything.

Yeah, I've got a "Help me! I'm turning into a grapefruit!" polo shirt from them :)
