# Nope mySQL
PostresSQL, Oracle, DB2, etc aren't affected. It's an attack on unpatched MS SQL servers. A patch has been available for this vulnerability since July - obviously many administrators haven't applied it.

The net performing really badly is down to the way the worm spreads (basically sending out loads of information to all hosts in the hope of finding and infecting another MS SQL server).

Hints for being a server admin:

a) patch your software (unix AND windows)
b) learn use a fucking firewall properly
c) all of the above
