That's OK though, isn't it?

If we encouraged the less talented people instead of shouting 'Fail' and similarly hurtful things, we might improve the overall standard of the board.

Many of us, me included, were rubbish when we started here and have benefited from friendly B3tans giving encouragement and/or constructive criticism.

"Fail" is encouragement.

It encourages people not to fail.

You are right on that

but the problem seems to be that the vast majority of people who are crap don't actually take our advice.
They consistently post bollocks on the board with massive filesizes, and ignore any attempt to help them.
That's when the 'FAIL' pictures come out.

I agree though, b3ta should be more fluffy, and I'm not helping :(

but its people that just do not give a shit about b3ta at all

that cannot be bothered to look down 4 inches to see that people just sticking ginger wigs on any old picture are getting flamed. And that do not listen when given friendly advice.

That's a fair point

But there are a lot of people who don't understand things very quickly.

You're right that there are people who are just annoying and ignore advice but we feed them by giving them attention.
