OR...Maybe do some sort of internet wizardry type stuff and set the board to automatically start a compo thread once an hour (or just have a mod do it) and it's only when replying to that thread that it lets you choose to make your post a compo entry?
That would keep them all in one place, allow people to post whatever crap they wanted, not speed the board up too much and be easy to hide for anyone who hates the compo!
