but we've decided to take it very slowly with a 'bail out' option if need be. We''ve both got our eyes open to our problems, but I just don't want to give up on a three year relationship when I still love her and 95% of the time we get on really well

It's good you've got a 'bail out' option, I reckon. 'Cos I went out with someone for two years longer than I should've on the back of a 'weeeell, we've been together for four years, it'd be stupid to chuck that away, eh?' type thing and it's not really a decent basis to keep a relationship going.
