SERIOUS: could someone tell me how to get one pen-tool object in potatoshop to 'punch' through another? (leaving nothing in the hole) In fireworks, this was a piece of piss...what was it now...oh yeah, tools/punch

Select the shape layer that needs the piece removing

Select the pen tool and rather than create a new shape layer click on the third button along "subtract from shape layer".

Then trace the punched-out shape and it will be removed from the first shape layer.
