That may be.But the changes are usually incredibly subtle with direct traces, and nothing interesting or stylistic ends up added - so the image just looks boring.
This is all just my opinion, by the way. It's obvious people like this sort of thing, else they wouldn't do it. I just think things like this could be far better and appeal to far more people with just a few simple changes.
Mofaha's stuff is a good example of traces that look more stylish because of the tweaks he makes to them. Even if it is something as simple as noise.
