i've been told that what i see as deep orange is actually tomato red.real tomatoes come in all shades, of course, but the standard imagined is typically a darker red. crappy tinned tomnato soup is this orangey-red, though, so maybe it's the ghost of some fat nazi campbell dictating to the humans.
