in the cinema release there is a fleeting shot of the animals which incubate the alien in Fincher's original ideathis was scrapped in favour of the 'dogburster' but the uncut extended version goes back to the original animal

the big box set has a documentary all about that.it's really funny because half the people are apologising for how crap it is and the other half are still really bitter about it after 20 years

alien for the win. alien 3 for the bin[edit]the directors cut is much better. the alien coming out of a cow should have made it a docile herbivore if you follow the gene borrowing logic of the other cut tho.
