Well I'm from Bristol, I've lived in London two years.It may take some getting used to at quiet times but at rush hour when everyone else is standing to one side it doesn't take a genius!
It's usually groups of non-english teenagers or clueless american families.
The teenagers I can forgive as they may not read english all that well.
I tend to push through the Americans.

tell them they have to buy a"stand on the left" pass. Get them to ask for one at the ticket counter.
