# Perfect for all your colourblind aquaintances you really hate!

Edit: cards are funny things. My young cousin has just popped out her first brat and for once I've decided not to be that annoyingly ignorant relative who doesn't throw empty sentiments around because it's polite/expected. But what can I put in her card? 'Well done on getting knocked up when you have the mental maturity of a child yourself'?

I stuck to expressing my regret she had such a hard labour, wishing her a quick recovery, and congratulating her on getting through it and starting a new phase of her life. But it still leaves a bad taste in my mouth every time I look over at the card. Poor kids.

# You really don't care for her chances, do you?
Or maybe the chances of her kid(s)? At least your comments stuck to the positive, and you didn't lie about your sentiments. It's a good thing that sarcasm doesn't show up well in print.

# I made an incredible effort not to have sarcasm in there
I may not think it was the best 'choice' ever, but it's been made and here on starts the next chapter so what will be will be, and I'm not the kind of shit to be lagging behind working over technicalities with no relevance to what's going on NOW.

But she's so young. My last firm memory of her was sat sullenly in a corner and moaning at her mum because 'everyone's staring at me!', when in reality a few people had glanced over briefly to make sure she was ok.
