people with dado rail have spent twice as much on wall paper / paint on those who don't have a dodo rail
plus they're ugly!
(unless your house is an antique (like roverghists) then i'd recommend taking em down and burning your house - gas mark 4 for 30 minutes - turn after 15 minutes

I had a dado rail in the sitting room in my last house in London but it was built in 1884 and belonged there.
My pet hate is those "lounges" (lordy I hate that word) who put a wallpaper strip thing (where the dado rail should go) and have patterned wallpaper above and plain colour below.
With matching dralon "lounge suite" and matching generic pictures on the wall.
*realises she is on soap box and puts it away and shuts tfu".
