Not for stunts.For each scene JD does it a couple of times through with the cameras on his face, then they run through it another dozen times from other angles.
For those angles where Willy Wonka is in the shot but his face is hidden they use JQ.

That is very interesting.I'm wondering why exactly this is done this way. Can he not be arsed, are his hands to be spared, or is it just cheaper this way?
