That's may as bebut I guarantee that if you listen to more Shostakovich youll see far more links in that. I saw Valery Gergiev conducting the whole of Shos's work with the London Symphony Orchestra over his year as 'temp' conductor with the LSO. It was absolutely astonishing. A lot of the latrr stuff I couldnt get my head round, but it was still amazing!
