Canny Geordies (from Newcastle)
Sand-dancers (from South Shields)
Mackems (from Sunderland)
Monkey-hangers (from Hartlepool)
Smog Monsters (from Middlesbrough)
Cockney Bastards (everything further south)
Except when you come from somewhere like London, you're so far south that you're closer to France than Newcastle. And as Newcastle is the centre of the known universe, obviously... obviously... you're French. (Hence the nickname.)
