Bootis named after the dog (now sadly deceased) of Dumpy, the best band in existence.
Said dog was, in turn, named after the guitarist in the band Straight 8s (I think) who sold Dumpy his famous 'Triumph' Gibson, and used to run a cd and vinyl shop in Ealing Broadway.
Lovely chap he was.
