there seems to be some sort of negative adjective irony in the young these days.

I think you would say something like: "That is the fucking shit!"

"That is hot as shit!"

OR, and I stress, or

"That is fuck-off well shit-hot"

I don't understand it, but they all seem to be accepted as strongly complimentary. I'm uncomfortable about general usage.
