# IT'S YOUR OWN FAULT FOR USING TELSTRA.
JUST BE GRATEFUL THAT THEY THROTTLE YOUR SPEEDS THESE DAYS.

THEY USED TO KEEP IT AT THE SAME SPEED, BUT CHARGE $1 PER MEGABYTE THAT YOU WENT OVER THE LIMIT.

THEY GAVE ME AN $1100.00 BILL.
I FILLED OUT FORMS AND COMPLAINED ALOT ALONG WITH POINTING OUT THAT THIS WAS THE PACKAGE THEY TOLD ME WOULD "BEST SUIT MY NEEDS" AND THAT IT IS NOT A GOOD WAY TO TREAT A NEW CLIENT.
I WON MY CASE AND GOT A CREDIT.
MENTIONING THE TELECOMMUNICATIONS OMBUDSMAN AND THEIR RECENT BAD PRESS AT THE TIME HAD NOTHING TO DO WITH MY MINOR VICTORY I AM SURE.

# I got charged 6 disconnection fees on the same bill, about 10 years ago. They were $60 each.
Every time they said they'd send out an amended bill, they just sent another angry letter instead.

Being fresh out of high school and not wanting to get a history with baycorp, I wound up paying it.

Can't say I've used them since.
