think it's just the style you've used
it was fairly revolutionary as a film as it was the first feature film where they animated over every cell of film. The style already existed, but hadn't been used to that degree

ROTORSCOPING!
It was generally only used for special effects, it was what they used in the original A New Hope for the lightsabers to my memory.
And of course in the game Another World, best use of rotorscoping ever.
