i was heating some olive oil in a sauce pan with view to pouring it over the pasta i was makingi told ladywoman to put the garlic in a the pan, refering to the sauce pan where i was frying the onions and pancetta. she put my nicely chopped garlic in the hot oil and i didn't realise until i poured it over the pasta. it was really rather good.
