# I don't know what the rules are with postal drugs
two out of three times that I've engaged in such an exchange, it has been successful, but once nothing arrived. Are they allowed to open stuff that smells like drugs, or, as I expect happened, are the jakey cunt excons who work for the PO allowed to steal anything that looks/smells interesting?

# I'd like to know this
I sent a bunch of seeds to Sweden in the spine of a book, and the book never arrived

It was a great book too :(

# I'm not sure.
But having recently refurbished BA cargo world freight offices and worked in the bonded warehouse I know that everything coming off the plane is x-rayed before it even gets to the mail people. Large containers and freight packages now have air samples taken from them and are taken to a nearby lab for explosives and drugs dogs to check the samples. I know this because I've just built the kennels for them at Manchester.

# hmmm
interesting. but it still makes me wonder why an envelope, sent with normal mail should go missing apart from perhaps the poor service explanation. I wouldn't have thought that they scan all mail, it seems like overkill... I can understand why they would do it for the majority of airmail though.

# oh I've sent a box of
200 pills in the UK mail before now. I'm sure you can get any old crap through that.
