# I don't think that
you'd find very many over here who would consider Dubya's War to be anything other than a major clusterfuck. That is, no one outside of the White House- but then, at the moment I'd say that the occupants of that place are a bit out of the loop when it comes to this strange little place we call Earth.

# That last statement
goes for most people in the US tbh...

# What part of the US
do you live in?

# I stayed in Chicago
for a very long stretch...most of them are pretty ignorant up there...

maybe I am being a little harsh with the broad generalisation but...meh

# Dunno about him
but I'm in Virginia, a bit closer to DC than I'd really like to be...

# Isn't
Virginia a military town? I would have though they'd be supporting the war just out of habit..?

# Not a town, a state.
I'm in Richmond, and despite this being a very politically and socially conservative town (both aspects I hate, btw), even around here Dubya's War is not thought of as anything other than a total mess.

The only people I see supporting any of it are the redneck nutjobs that no one pays any attention to.

Although I have to say, everyone I know supports the troops and wants them back home. We support our people and respect them for what they're doing, but we want them to stop doing it just as much as they do.

# I'm on the East Coast
pretty much just down the road from you :)
I actually really like DC, I've visited 3 or 4 times. It has weirdly European atmosphere in some ways I think.

# Really?!?
I thought you were in England, for some reason! Gaz me- we should get a pint sometime!

# I'm a displaced
and frankly confused Brit :)
I've been through Va a few times and stayed a couple of times. I liked it, although I don't think I'd like to live there. I like being near NYC, it's a nice change of pace.
