# nice
how're you doing the differnt tones, by the way? I can't get them to work too well with ink. Stuck on line drawings.

# well...
this is done with ink used for engravings / etchings... real think stuff. I start by inking my plate and wiping it down with mineral spirits to get a nice grayish background, and then i start taking ink and pull it across the plate. Think I used an old credit card for this one. After I do one, I can go over and put one on top of it, and just by pulling it over an existing section, it tends to lighten it. Also depends how aggressive I am pulling the ink. After all that, it gets run through the press.

# Since we can scan things these days
You might just need the grease pencil, and a hard surface to draw on. Hm, might get the scanner greasy though.
Also: cor, mezzotints.
