Being around in the 80s but not old enough to have experienced the fashions I love most of them. Obviously not all, not puffball skirts, but a lot of it I love.

I've never been to one, never understood how standing around in vast groups and drinking was entertaining.

I thought that perhaps the alcohol pushed people to a point of zen readiness so that the collective mass could then calculate like a quantum processor, but I never found any evidence.
