# There was one
I think it was Lord of the Rings, if you enter the usual swearwords the programmer has a go at you about how he spent hours writing this and all you do is abuse it, etc..

as a young child, i'd have felt such guilt that i probably wouldn't have been able to sleep that night

# I remember
on the BBC micro, that really crap Welcome game you got with it, the response to swearing was suitably middle class and haughty.. 'Please don't use that kind of language, it's not very nice and not clever'

But yes, I was suitably ashamed!

EDIT: www.monkeon.co.uk/swearadventure/page3.htm

(although that's probably been posted before, by Monkeon for one)

# I had a speech synthesis program for the BBC Micro.

# There was one that reset itself if you swore.
But the programmer hadn't realised it was based on a feeble parser that only used the first four letters of each word. So if you typed 'BREAK WINDOW' it decided to crash on you.
