AhClubbing? The the hair receptors in the aural canal that deal with HF go first.
I do know a guitarist that has exactly the same problem in his left ear. Amazingly enough in the last year of so it has started to come back a bit.
You do lose HFs anyway. The audable range for humans is said to be 20Hz to 20kHz but that is based on a child's hearing. Most people have problems hearing things above 19kHz.

Never bben clubbing in my life...The right side was always dodgy from when I was little, then not helped by being in ridiculously loud bands from 16-26 (now).
On the right side I can get 14kHz if I REALLY concentrate, generally not much abouve 11 though...

I hope you're using proper ear plugs now?Not the crappy foam ones. Ideally you should get some custom made for you. You can get some, they not that cheap, that'll cut levels pretty well but will do so evenly on all freqs.
