and any attention will do even if they have to be bad to get it. my grandmother has gone like that but she is 88, senile and can't remember what she did ten minutes ago. She will phone each of her kids and her grandkids no less than 5 or six times in an hour with ridiculous excuses for phoning just to talk even if some of her kids ( my dad is a cunt ) will shout at her for doing so.
It's the same here, some people shock because they need to be the focus of attention. Some others just go about their business posting what they do and being happy ( quietly ) if someone takes the time to notice.
