# "back click"
Why I say that rather than right click i dont know....

Ah, old school computers..

We had an Amstrad, that was the first.. I used to play Tomohawk on it.. Then we had 3.1 windows from ESCOM (who went bust), then 95 from Gateway, (who went bust, but came back again recently.. based in the Rep. Of Ireland, but really from USA) then 98 from Gateway aswell, then we had xp from Dell.. then when i was 18 i got a cool dell of my own, thtoguh lots of negotiation etc. wioth my dad.. now ive got a comp all of my own which I built all on my own!.. which doesnt work somthimes.. and the video card doesnt work, i installed it correctly, the driver makes Vista recognise it, but the software that came with it doesnt.. hmmmm

Thants my computer life condensed into one post woo! Lets hear yours!

# 1977
Commodore PET 4. Then a ZX80 and ZX81 followed by an Atari 800XL. Commodore Vic 20 and then a C-64. Got my forst Spectrum around than and had a few more, 48-128k.
Then I started getting serious, got an Amiga A2000 then an A500, A3000 A1200T A4000T /060. Built my first PC in 97, was a pentium II 350. All my PC's since ten have been self build. AMD 1000, AMD 1700, Athlon 2000+ Xp 2200+ Xp 2600+ then the most recent a dual core 3800+ and a quad core 9600 Phenom plus my day to day model that I am on now which is a Dual core low power 5200+ Black Edition AMD with dual HD2900XT ati cards in crossfire ( SLI ) and 8GB of corsair Ram.

Well you did ask, and I'm a bit of a geek.
I still have most of that stuff.

# Cool
Love to hear about it.. anthropologicly speaking (sp?)

Well im just gettinginto self build..

But the fisrt computer in my family was a year before me, im 22 now.. still got it... Antiques roadshow in a few years will be full of the stuff!

# They do...
But you still see people out side hospital smoking.. lunacy isnt it.. While my grandad was dying of camncer i was still smoking..

The sad thing about this Allen Carr is, he quit smoking, after 100 a day, at the age of 45 or somehting, then died in 2006 after 20 years of none smoking of lung cancer, because of second hand smoke, from his clients who allowed to smoke during his counceling...

# i won't even let people smoke in my house now
if i can't smoke, nor can they! if i'm getting rid of the fags, i don't want their smoke! plus, it's really tempting.

# I have 3 cuban
Montecristo cigars on my desk in front of me. I've not decided to give up smoking yet, but if I do I'll be pissed off if I don't smoke them first.
(, Fri 16 May 2008, 2:14, archived)
# pff!
you just made me think of shrek 2, where one of the fairy godmother's helpers goes into her office with her coffee and a montecristo :)
anyway, i can hardly keep my eyes open anymore, so g'night all!
(, Fri 16 May 2008, 2:19, archived)
# gnight you
sleep tight.
(, Fri 16 May 2008, 2:20, archived)
# I see what you mean..
But i dont mind the smell of smoke.. doesnt bother me.. I dont feel like im missing out on anything.. because i know actualy smoking a cig tastes like shit, and i spent most of my youth forcing my self to smoke in spite of the shite taste.. The smell of smoke to me, smells a bit nostalgic.. but I couldnt smell it while i was smoking, because im a smoke.. to the fact i can actualy smell what smoke really smells like is a victory to me.

I have nightmares that ive given in and smoked.. but its only been a couple of weeks.. I just feel so possitive about the whole thing i dont think im going to give in and smoke..

(, Fri 16 May 2008, 2:19, archived)
# just be really careful around week 5
that tends to be when i weaken. also, if you do give in and have a smoke, it's not the end of the world. it doesn't mean you have to start smoking again, it just means you're human. i quit at the end of january and i've had 2 lapses, both when i was drinking. i'm still not smoking though.
g'night!
