i dunno...i worked in a record shop for ayear with 2 big prog fansand some of the bloody hard to find obscure stuff was pretty fucking awful.

Amon Düül II rock.But they never forgot how to keep rocking.
And I think "prog" in the most commonly used sense refers to the type of bands like Yes, the endless technical-stuff, not "progressive rock" in the broader sense of the word (rock that is actually progressive).
Either that, or I'm just a pretentious arsehole.
