either way slightly wrong accent for the period. not to mention he's managed to become fluent in Japanese in less than ten years with no teaching.

series two gets off to a slow start, but the writer's strike kicks it right in the chuff in the second half. so infuriating.

Also according to my history the feudal, war samurais in full armour, period ended at the very start of the 17th century. So it would be more than likely that they would have rifles instead.

Also also, if you look at the dates of Kensei's birth and death in series 1 they don't actually match up with the second series at all.
