I love that type of film, like MirrorMask, Delicatessen, Pan's Labyrinth, Paperhouse, Amelie, The Dust Factory etc.

Paperhouse, sure it's 20 years old and has that 80s feel to it but it's good an there are a couple of scenes that will make you jump

the original book "Marianne Dreams" is better but the film is a very good adaption

# I remember seeing the still in production trailer for that, back when I was still into films and didn't find any entertainment a hollow escape from depressing reality.
It was terribly pretentious and awfully put together apparantly.
