I like the idea but
I think the whole freezing and drilling business is a bit unnecessary.
I'd just poke a long thin knife into the raw joint and push the chillies into the resulting slits.

well
I did make it from fresh. I discovered that just "poking" the chilli's in holes i nthe beef didn;t work but if you put the chilli;s in a straw. poke the straw through then pull the straw out while holding onto the end of the chilli worked very well.
but no one wil lread this so it doesn;t matter :P
