wonderful modeling
not too sure about the caustics(shadows?) tho. they should blur as they get further from the object.
also try and disguise the highlight somehow, it looks CG as it is.

Sadly, it wasn't fully finished
when the renderer quit/crashed out, as all the post processing hadn't completed. :(
