The people I deal with from Yorkshire do the 't' thing all the time although they are generally the older generation (50 plus). The younger ones don't seem to do it as much.
The 'give it ooosss' thing I've not heard in Manchester but I have in the North East and Yorkshire and even in parts of Nottingham.

despite being from the slums of Salford I have managed to grow up having good diction, elocution and grammar skills.
I cower whenever I see Coronation Street. I'm glad I did not end up like that.
