because we shouldn't be the top of the food chain. If all the people in the world were vegetarian, then we could end world hunger. There is an unlimited amount of crops, but there are only so many animals.

Plants are just as vunerable to extinction as animals if all of them are harvested or destroyed.
Becoming vegetarian wouldn't solve world hunger, people giving a shit about starving people would solve world hunger. It's not as if there isn't enough food or anything, christ the amount of food wastage in America and Europe, problem is people don't really give a shit.

if there was, there wouldn't be starving people in the first place!
With plants you can harvest the seeds, as well as the edible parts, to plant new plants. So that they don't die out. Think about it. That's what the farmers around here do with corn and other plants. otherwise Jeresey would've stopped being a farming state aaaaages ago.

There IS enough food in the world, it just isn't evenly distributed and the people who're starving are most often in the places where the crops fail year on year.

With fruits the people most likely dispose of the seed and it doesn't land on soil, kernals, nuts, anything like that you end up actually eating the seeds.
Plus what about Siberian Reindeer herders? Presumably they're supposed to stop eating reindeer and start growing corn...in the middle of a frozen tundra. The tribes in the Himalayas, lots of regions where growing enough or any crops isn't feasible, and generally relies on animal herding or fishing or whatever other means.
