but I suspect it's why the book has never been as famous as his others.
Other than that, it's my favourite H G Wells book.
The political commentary is also pretty blatant but interesting.
It would make a good film conversion.

It is very difficult to simply call some of these old books overtly racist. Unfortunately, it was generally held public opinion. Luckily it is not the case now.
