I've hada Merc 320E Elegance and trust me, they don't come close. I've driven an AMG SEC 500 which is about as close Merc can get to the M5 and it's not even close.
I had a Merc 300SL, it's like a rowing boat.
You can't judge a vehicle until you have had to pay for it with your own cash. That's why I have had 2 M5's and 2 Skylines with my new GTR on order.
I know it's subjective and biased but I can assure you that beyond the SLR I don't believe Mercedes make a car that excites me as much as I am when I look at my old tub.
