I got a picture printed in the Dandy oncethe bastards then ripped off my character and used it every Halloween for a few years!! They were like the zoo and nuts of the 80s :(

My nana has the original mag still somwherethe had a character called 'Richard's snitch', a kid with a loooong nose that could talk (wtf?). Anyway, i re-drew it with a witches hat and called it 'Richard's Witch ' (my pun gland was advanced back then) and got their pic of the week. I got a massive poster out of it but nothing else was said. For weeks after, readers sent in their versions of my idea, winning prizes along the way until Halloween came along, and lo and behold, they had done a FKING proper strip of it :(. They did this for a few years too.
