# That's quite something. I mean I appreciate what they did in a big way. They pushed forward with their ideas and their progression spawned a lot of the 20th century 'isms' (surrealism, cubism, vorticism etc.) but I tend to prefer the guys who were the
'bedrocks' as such, in that they layed the foundation for the bigger names.

On a sidenote: I adore Manrays work with film.

in fact a better way of putting it would be actively avoid seeing it. i made the mistake of seeing Dali's film work and just thought it was a bit shit really. i'll tell you what was quite cool though, me and Hexy went to the Cy Twombly exhibit in the Modern a few weeks back, that really worth a look, especially his later stuff you might like. he has the amazing way of drawing liquids.
