(, Sun 20 Jul 2008, 10:22, archived)
# Where are they today? And is there Moto GP on?
(, Sun 20 Jul 2008, 10:24, archived)
# Moto GP
is in the US at Laguna Seca and Pedrosa is out so COME ON CASEY!

Ballistic Bayliss goes in the Superbikes at BRNO today. All on TV at some point (12 for first superbike race I think )
(, Sun 20 Jul 2008, 10:27, archived)
# Shit, I love Laguna Seca. I'll have to record that 'un. I never miss Moto GP/British Superbikes/World Superbikes.
(, Sun 20 Jul 2008, 10:32, archived)
# They are going down like flies
at turn 3 at Laguna Seca. There is no grip. There will be fallers today.

# true that...but Pana seems to be cheering for Stoner
(, Sun 20 Jul 2008, 10:36, archived)

# I'm getting excited, it's a big day.
I support the Ducati Corse factory teams because I ride Dukes and my sister works for the race team. I suppoert Ballistic in world SBK, Casey in MGP ( sat on his new bike before it was delivered to his team ) and Shaky Byrne in British SBK.

# If you were trying for cubism it didn't work.
2:30am, sleeping soon most likely. Skully, yay.
(, Sun 20 Jul 2008, 10:23, archived)
# Cubism, UGH. To think it all evolved from Dadaism, which was so fantastic.
(, Sun 20 Jul 2008, 10:30, archived)
# cubism is alright
but it ain't got shit on dadaism. have you ever seen "our dumb century - the onion through history"? one of the best headlines in there is "DADAISM DECLARED DEAD. DADAIST CLAIM VICTORY"

also "AMERICAN TROOPS PULL OUT OF VIATNAMESE GIRL" is good too
(, Sun 20 Jul 2008, 10:34, archived)
# Haha! Brilliant. I'd forgotten that one. Dadaists really had such a good temperament. I still prefer some of the 'lesser known' Dadaists to the likes of Duchamp and Manray such as
Kurt Scwitters, Hannah Hoch and Francis Picabia.
(, Sun 20 Jul 2008, 10:38, archived)
# picabia was marvellous
the thing is that the artists who are best known in a movement tend to be for a reason, did you see the dada exhibition at the modern? i adore manray personally.there was a girl i saw a few weeks ago in town who i nearly got down on one knee and proposed to, a beautiful mixed race asian girl who carried a violin case and had 'f' holes tattooed on her midriff
(, Sun 20 Jul 2008, 10:43, archived)
# That's quite something. I mean I appreciate what they did in a big way. They pushed forward with their ideas and their progression spawned a lot of the 20th century 'isms' (surrealism, cubism, vorticism etc.) but I tend to prefer the guys who were the
'bedrocks' as such, in that they layed the foundation for the bigger names.

On a sidenote: I adore Manrays work with film.
(, Sun 20 Jul 2008, 10:59, archived)
# i've never actually seen it
in fact a better way of putting it would be actively avoid seeing it. i made the mistake of seeing Dali's film work and just thought it was a bit shit really. i'll tell you what was quite cool though, me and Hexy went to the Cy Twombly exhibit in the Modern a few weeks back, that really worth a look, especially his later stuff you might like. he has the amazing way of drawing liquids.
(, Sun 20 Jul 2008, 11:04, archived)
# I'll have to look around then. My guess is that stuff was a springboard for Vorticism.
We'll continue this another time. Tatata!

# Today I am off to Oulton Park
as a guest of Ducati Corse who are supporting NW200 Ducati with hospitality at the Bennett's British Superbike Swan Combi 50 ( round 8 )

www.britishsuperbike.com/article.asp?article=1096

I might get there in time for warm up laps but will not be slugging hospitality booze because I'm riding my Ducati 916 there and back and seeing what Ducati clothes I can snaffle from my sister's goody bag.
(, Sun 20 Jul 2008, 10:24, archived)
# Sounds absolutely epic. Not much of a fan of the 916, though - sorry. Give me a Monster anyday.
(, Sun 20 Jul 2008, 10:27, archived)
# Monster is a
bike for people who want to be seen. 9xx sport bikes are for people who like to ride.

I have a Hypermotard 1100S for when I want chicks to drool and blokes to make 'wanker' signs at me.

in case you're unaware :)

my next door neighbour has a big harley fatboy, lovely big cruising bike. unfortunately he happens to be exactly what you'd expect an english harley owner to be, a solicitor who owns a pristine Harley Davidson leather jacket that reads "if you have to ask, you wouldn't understand" *rolleyes*
(, Sun 20 Jul 2008, 10:37, archived)
# that is a piss take of Harley riders
here they have mullets down to their arse, a goatee down just as far. and a leathers that say "if you can read this, the bitch fell off."
